R&J WINTER HORSE SALE FEBRUARY 2026
What an unforgettable weekend at R&J Horse Sales.
139 horses sold and only 16 horses no saled — these numbers we are incredibly proud of, but what means even more to us are the people behind them.
The market was HOT with Hip #48 as our High Seller at $36,500, Hip #1 was the Top Pony at $8,300 and Hip #39 was the Top Mule at $6000. 2nd High Seller was Hip #11 for $27,500- 3rd was Hip #51 for $25,000- 4th was Hip 34 for $23,000 and 5th High Seller was Hip 56 for $15,000. The strength all the way through with a Top 10 average of $18,140, and Top 20 average of $12,960 — it speaks volumes about the quality of horses and the confidence of our buyers.
We are so grateful to each and every consignor who trusted us with your horses. The quality, honesty, and heart behind these horses is what makes this sale special.

R&J FALL HORSE SALE OCTOBER 2025
We had a great day for a Fall Sale! The weather was beautiful and our stands were packed. The fall sale showcased many weanlings, yearlings, ponies, and all around horses for about everyone. High Seller sold for $15,000, Top Pony was $4,800 and Top Weanling was $13,500. 143 Total horses consigned with a Top 5 Average: $10,760, Top 10 Average: $8,430, Top 20 Average: $6,400.
Friday night was a late one ending at 1:30am with our used tack sale which brought in some very nice used tack.
Saturday’s sale started off strong in the MN 50/50 Weanling session as Hip No. 10 became the high seller in that session, bringing $13,500. The 2025 sorrel colt was flashy and had all the right manners he was consigned by Seyller Performance Horses. Top seller of the sale was a beautiful red roan cross gelding bringing in a final bid of $15,000.
The Pony Session came in with a high seller of $4,800. The black and white pony broke the internet with all its comments and reviews. He was sure one of a kind.

R&J SPRING HORSE SALE MAY 2025
R&J Horse Sales had a great day for a Spring Sale! The spring sale showcased many trail horses, ponies and all around horses for about everyone. High Seller sold for $13,250 and Top Pony Seller was $7,500.
Friday night we held our used tack sale which brought in some very nice used tack.
Saturday morning we held our new tack sale – followed by our preview of horses. Lots of people came to view and check out all the horses. Saturday’s sale started off strong as Hip No. 47 became the high seller, bringing $13,250. The 2017 Blue Roan AQHA Gelding was consigned by RK Performance.
The Pony Session came in with a high seller of $7,500. The 2015 Bay Pony Gelding was consigned by Carson Sundby of RK Performance Horses.

R&J Horse Sales Started off 2025 with a Great Winter Sale! The sale was held February 7th-8th in Verndale, Minnesota. Buyers bought and watched from across the country to have a chance at the wide selection of horses. High Seller sold for $30,000 and Top Pony Seller was $3,300. Top 5 Average was $19,050, Top 10 Average – $14,555 and with the Top 20 Average coming in at $10,447. 76.5% of Horses Were Sold!
Friday night we held our Preview for all the sale horses that wanted to showcase along with holding our tack sale. Lots of new faces seen during the preview.
Saturday’s sale started off strong as Hip No. 52 became the high seller of the Black-Type Session, bringing $30,000. The 2020 Sorrel AQHA Gelding, Dont Look Now (Dual Rey x Dont Look Twice) was consigned by JP Bell. The second high seller came in at $18,000 with a 2022 Chestnut AQHA Gelding – He had all the right moves that’s for sure – he was Beautiful! He was consigned by JP Bell as well. During Saturday’s sale we had over 400 people watching online. We know the weather did not cooperate like we wish it would have, but we were happy those who wanted to bid/buy could be with us online.
The Pony Session came in with a high seller of $3,300. The 2019 Sorrel Pony Gelding was consigned by Tyson Sundby of RK Performance Horses.

R&J Horse Sales Started off 2024 with a Strong Winter Sale! The sale was held February 16-17 in Verndale, Minnesota. Buyers bought and watched from across the country to have a chance at the wide selection of horses. High Seller sold for $15,000 and Top Pony Seller was $6,000. Top 5 Average was $12,505, Top 10 Average – $11,092 and with the Top 20 Average coming in at $9,641. 86.5% of Horses Were Sold!
Friday night we held our Preview for all the sale horses that wanted to showcase along with holding our tack sale. The tack sale was one to remember – filling all three bleachers and having customers stay until the very end with still full bleachers!
Saturday’s sale started off strong as Hip No. 50 became the high seller of the Black-Type Session, bringing $15,000. The 2020 Buckskin AQHA Gelding, Jakes Twisted Smoke (Smokin Jake x Cjh Lucky Olena) was consigned by RK Performance Horses. The second high seller came in at $13,000 with a 2020 Jet Black Friesian/Gypsy Stallion – He had all the right moves that’s for sure – he was Beautiful! He was consigned by Michaca Fredy.
The Pony Session was hot! With a high seller of the Pony Session, selling for $6,000. The 2017 POA Mare who rode around just like a big horse does. She was consigned by Tyler Parr.
We held our first Black-Type Session which was a nice way for people to see the full background of each of those horses consigned. The Black-Type Horses sold outstanding! Thank you to all who participated!

R&J Spring Horse Sale was held May 18th in Verndale, MN.
It was our biggest sale with the most online watchers/buyers along with all the buyers and bidders in house.
Friday night we held our Preview for all the sale horses that wanted to showcase along with holding our tack sale. It was a great night had by all!
High Seller sold for $17,000 and Top Pony Seller was $11,000. Top 5 Average was $11,100. Top 10 Average was $9,250. Top 20 Average was $7,575. It was a FUN SALE!
The day started out great when Hip No. 32 became the high seller of the Catalog Session, bringing $17,000. The 2021 Sorrel AQHA Mare, “DT Hickorys Gypsy” was consigned by Peak Performance Horses. They brought us multiple well bred and nice horses and one pony who topped the Pony Session bringing in a winning bid of $11,000.

Sale was held February 17- 18-19 in Verndale, Minnesota. Buyers bought and watched from across the country to have a chance at the wide selection of horses. High Seller sold for $31,500 and Top Pony Seller was $5,200. Top 5 Average was $15,750 with the Top 10 Average coming in at $12,185.
The first day of the sale started off strong as Hip No. 80 became the high seller of the Catalog Session, bringing $31,500. The 2013 Sorrel AQHA Gelding, Smart Dual Kat (Dual Smart Rey x Puddykat) was consigned by the Pauly Family.
We held our first Pony Session and the ponies were hot! With a high seller of the Pony Session, selling for $5,200. The 2015 grey pony mare was as cute as can be. She was consigned by Carson Sundby of RK Performance Horses.

The day started out with the MN 50/50 Weanling Catalog session which the high seller was $5,000 for “TGIF” a 2023 Bay Roan AQHA Mare. Then was our Weanling Session followed by our Pony Session. Our Pony Session came in with a high seller of $6,800. The 2015 Liver Chestnut Pony Mare was consigned by L. Huben.
For our Catalog Riding Horse Session Hip 103x became the high seller, bringing $15,000. The 2019 Grey AQHA Gelding, “Doc O Guns” was consigned by B. Shaw.
